AAAI Simon Faithfull Simon Faithful is a digital and video artist based in London. His work reflects an interest in exploring where individuals place themselves within that space and has been discribed as 'mesmerizing' and 'weird'. Faithfull recently exhibited at the Whitechapel Art Gallery in the group exhibition Temporary Accomodation and a solo exhibition 30KM at Aspex Gallery, Portsmouth. He currently has a solo exhibition, Vanishing Point at The Pump House in London's Battersea Park. He is also currently exhibiting in the exhibition Remote Control at Angel Row Gallery in Nottingham (10 July - 4 September 04). Until recently he led the artist web site e-2 which receives funding from the Arts Council of England to develop new work by contemporary artists on the internet. Simon is working on a short film, 13, a Channel 4 commission, which will be broadcast this summer. Simon has also been selected to undertake a visual arts residency with the British Antartic Survey later this year, a journey to some of the most inhostpitable areas of the planet. Simon was in residency at ArtSway in 2002 as part of ArtSway's NavyGate residency programme funded through the Regional Arts Lottery programme by Southern Arts. During his residency at ArtSway, he produced Orbital No 1, a video work. Orbital No 1 brought together three circular journeys around London – the M25 motorway, the North and South Circulars and London Underground’s Circle Line. Like an illustration from Dante’s Inferno, the piece describes three infinite concentric journeys brought together in a single circular screen. A small publication with CD-Rom is available from ArtSway. See publications. Selected Previous Exhibitions Solo Exhibitions:
