Twenty three selected artists, from recent graduates to established practitioners, push the language of textiles beyond use or tasteful decoration to pose questions on a range of issues: the virtual and the real; Englishness; the environment; aesthetic categories; subjectivity. Selected by artists Yinka Shonibare and Polly Binns; Professor Sarat Maharaj of Goldsmiths University; Gill Hedley, Director, Contemporary Art Society. The exhibition has been supported by London Arts and the Crafts Council.
