The show examines and deconstructs traditional views of ‘landscape’ art through traditional craft form such as clay and thread, as well as introducing the ‘new’ media of technology. For many of these artists it is first time that they have moved from the reality of their craft to the virtual reality of multimedia. The exhibition therefore contains ceramics, textiles, glass, jewellery and furniture alongside projection and a multimedia installation. An ArtSway "The World of Our Landscape" exhibition funded by The National Lottery through the Arts Council of Englands A4E scheme Get Real has recieved additional support from: The Crafts Council Southern Arts (in association with MOMC, the initiative of Hampshire County Council to establish an inovative centre for contemporary craft) Visiting Arts Buckinhamshire Chilterns University College Wolverhampon University The Harley Foundation Click here to return to the Past Exhibitions menu. |
