ArtSway Open 05

3 December 2005- 19 February 2006
(Closed: 19 December 05 - 5 January 06)

Exhibition Related Events

There is no theme to this year’s Open Exhibition, in response to artists’ concerns regarding the restrictiveness of a themed brief. Instead, ArtSway has aimed to select work that reflects the plurality of current artistic practice.

Artists were encouraged to submit work that reflects their current practice. There were no restrictions on content, or media used to make work.

ArtSway’s Open05 brings together the best of local, regional and national contemporary art work, selected by ArtSway Director Mark Segal and ArtSway Exhibition Officer Peter Bonnell.

One artist will be selected for a solo show at ArtSway in 2006. See below for announcement.

Note: ArtSway closes on Monday 19 December and reopens on Thursday 5 January 2006.
