Sandy Marchant

Studio One

This studio is used solely by artists who have been selected by ArtSway as part of the gallery's Artist in Residency Programme (please see Residency page on this website for more information).  Artists spend two months working in the studio and the local area, making new work for a following exhibition at ArtSway.  This scheme enables artists the opportunity to work on their own practice with the added addition of an exhibition at ArtSway after their two-month studio time is complete.  Each artist involved in this project is selected by ArtSway as an example, or reflection, of modern progressive art with much of the work in fitting with the rural environs of ArtSway.

The studio is available for short hire either side of the residencies. Monthly rate £100, weekly rate £30, day rate £10. Please contact the gallery to check availability.

Studio One is currently inhabited by ceramicist Sandy Marchant.

Studio Four

Adrian Hart

Adrian Hart works within the realms of performance and art installation with activities based upon the documentation of live performance. These activities often take place with little or no audience and only exist in documented form or as myth. Adrian's work is inspired by human emotion and behaviour. The day to day act of documenting it as an historical document to provide the individual with a sense of past and self worth.

Andrew Cook

Andrew's paractice is concerned with the deconstruction of the human body which is manifested both psychically and conceptually in his collages. These collages, made from flesh cut from popular magazines reduce the body to an object, devoid of any human qualities. Andrew heightens the sexual implications of flesh; this sexual anxiety is present in the surfaces of his collages.
