We wish her every success in her career. In the meantime we are recruiting for a new Press & Marketing Officer. ArtSway Xtra Trip to Milton Keynes Gallery with Alex Frost

Saturday 22 September 2007

9am - 6pm, £10, free to friends

(includes light buffet lunch)

Alex Frost is one of the UK's most promising contemporary artists, and ArtSway is pleased to welcome him as the new artist in residence at the gallery.

Join ArtSway Xtra on a coach trip to Milton Keynes Gallery, to see Alex’s exhibition, Adults, which is an excellent chance to get acquainted with Alex’s practice.  There will be an introduction to the gallery from the staff, and an informal buffet, where there will be a chance to talk to Alex about his work.  Alex will then give us a talk about the new work that he has been creating and researching since his residency began at ArtSway.  This will be a fantastic early look at work in development for Alex’s brand new exhibition at ArtSway in February 2008.

Alex Frost's work includes sculptures and drawings, which often include elements of traditional, classical arts and crafts such as mosaic and embroidery patterns.  Recent solo exhibitions include Format Wars at Tramway in Glasgow, and Adults at Gallerie Sandra Buergel, Berlin.
