Stour Valley Arts and ArtSway are seeking to commission a UK based artist, working in any media, to produce a new body of work resulting from research undertaken in the locations of both commissioning partners. The artist will be given time and financial resources to explore and research the areas in question to produce at least one exhibition (scheduled at ArtSway in April 2011), with critical and practical support from ArtSway and Stour Valley Arts. About ArtSway's Residency Programme: The residency is offered to emerging and mid-career visual artists working in any medium, who wish to develop new work for presentation in a supportive environment. Stour Valley Arts at King’s Wood, Challock in Kent, and ArtSway in the New Forest are pleased to announce an exciting new residency/ co-commission opportunity open to any UK based artist, working in any media. The residency/ co-commission is scheduled to begin in the summer of 2010, with an exhibition to take place at ArtSway in April 2011. A further presentation may take place at Stour Valley Arts or a corresponding venue at a later date (tbc). Exhibition proposals ArtSway welcomes propsals by artists and other arts organisations, however there are very limited opportunities for development and exhibition. We aim to respond to all enquires, however please be patient as our capacity to review and respond is very limited. Please ensure you include appropriate return postage for your material and do not send original material, always send duplicates or copies of digitial files.
