				<title>Mottisfont Abbey Residencies</title>

				<description>Artists and makers are invited to submit proposals to undertake one of three pilot residencies at Mottisfont between October 2011 and March 2012.

	The residency offers the artist an opportunity to spend time in the unique surroundings of Mottisfont Abbey to:
	Explore the house, grounds and estate, its history and current context as a site of education, recreation and conservation
	Understand the potential audience in our community of staff, volunteers and visitors
	Develop a site responsive art intervention which in whole or in part will address and engage this audience

	It is envisaged that the residency will take place over a one&#45;month period between October 2011 and March 2012. However, the total number of days and the period over which the days are worked will be negotiated with each selected artist.

	The total fee for each residency is &amp;pound;1,400 to cover:
	A minimum commitment of 8 working days
	Delivery of at least one participatory workshop/seminar during the residency period
	Contribution to concluding event/presentation at conclusion of all three residencies (date TBC)
	There is a separate budget for materials and expenses of up to &amp;pound;350 per residency, which can be claimed on production of receipts

			Exhibition Proposals
			
			ArtSway welcomes proposals by artists and other arts organisations, however there are very limited opportunities for development and exhibition. We aim to respond to all enquires, however please be patient as our capacity to review and respond is very limited. Please ensure you include appropriate return postage for your material and do not send original material, always send duplicates or copies of digitial files. We cannot be responsible for unsolicited proposals or the material sent with them.</description>

				<description>ArtSway hosts a number of artists from a range of backgrounds, working in a variety of media in dedicated studios on the gallery grounds. These studios are leased on annual licenses to the artists. Availability of studios are limited &#45; when available the opportunity is advertised.
