ArtSway is seeking artists who are involved in making computer-based interactive artwork. We are looking for innovative, small scale works created with Adobe Flash, Quicktime or Director. Work made using Open Source software is also welcome but it must be self contained and should not require server side support. The work must have an element of user interactivity and fit within standard browser size 600 by 400. All work considered but preference will be given to previously unshown work.
By utilising our website visitor numbers, our aim is to create a showcase for thought provoking interactive digital art forms and give exposure to emerging artists working in this field.
The work is to be chosen by our selection panel: Peter Bonnell, Curator of ArtSway, artists boredomresearch and Emily Draper, Project Coordinator.
The work will be exhibited in a digital gallery space, which will be an integral part of the ArtSway website. It will be exhibited for a continuous period of three months.
If you would like to submit work please send an email to mail@artsway.org.uk (please put "swaydigital" in the subject line) with a short introduction to yourself and your practice along with attached files/ jpeg images and/or a link to your website or work/submission piece.
The deadline for submissions is 22nd July 2009. Any queries regarding this competition please contact Emily on 07910 939057
